ATOMS was conceived with the aim of overcoming the current challenges in offshore wind operations and maintenance, both for fixed-bottom and floating installations. The system incorporates a work platform integrated with the tower, designed to enable the installation and use of commercially available cranes coupled to the turbine, optimising maintenance activities. Thanks to this development, ATOMS will become the first system capable of carrying out major corrective operations on fixed-bottom wind turbines without the need for large vessels, significantly reducing operating costs.

Likewise, it will be the first solution to enable in situ maintenance of floating wind turbines, addressing one of the main technological demands of the sector.
